Buddy System Pink

I would like people to write in pink (crayon, highlighter, sharpie, paint pen, anything) BUDDY SYSTEM,  and then use it as a label they tape with clear packing tape to the back of their phone to remind women that it is in print, and it can make a difference if they are aware of

their surroundings, someone knows where they are and what they are wearing, and they are with someone who also knows self defense too. People who carry guns, if they don't keep their knees bent are easily pushed to the ground and when they fall on their gun or when they are beaten, their ribs are broken. That does not make it easier to escape or live.

Survival Kit

Have you made a survival kit with an Altoid tin? Alaska Granny is the only woman I found who has.

I made a survival kit in a book for people who are trying to have children and sometimes they die. Fertile Prayers: Daily Fertile Prayers. It helps me survive.

Kudzu

I talked with William Shurtleff on the phone once. He asked where I got the number and I told him which newspaper article listed his number. He asked if I was suggesting to people to get the young leaves. I said, no. I get the largest and darkest leaves because that is where the nutrition is. I cut up the leaves and juice the leaves in a blender with equal parts water.

The Book of Kudzu is free on Google Books.  William Shurtleff, botanist, graduated from Stanford U. in botany and is an expert in soybeans, a cousin of kudzu. His wife and co-author, is  Akiko Aoyagi. She did art and recipes in the book and the outside, I believe.

Who taught you the Buddy System? What is the Buddy System to you?

To me it is letting people know where I am going and using my safety awareness to watch my own back as well as I can.  Men are taught something different. Have you read any articles for scuba dor sky diving? What is it for you?

Tim Ferris was abused as a child

One of my favorite writers was abused as a child. Two out of 5 boys and 3 out of 5 girls are abused as children, so why am I surprised! Tim Ferris is one of my favorite writers.

I have never made any money with Molested: Prayers by D. White, my pen name.  I wrote Murder on the Silver Comet Trail, which is free on Kindle Unlimited.

The Older Posts will have the resources for people who have been molested. There were 600 people a week reading this book.

Are you a buddy to a woman?

Are you a buddy to any woman?

She Needs to Give Us a List

I do not know why I wanted to buy something my husband's mother might like?

My Mom has been gone for 10 years this year.
I do not know why sizing of clothes never adds up.
Nothing from any country fits the same.

I bought another robe for my husband's mother.
One was too big.
Will the second be too small?
Why did I try to please my husband's mother?

When Bob and I first started dating,
He asked me, "make a list of things you think I need? Please?"
I did.
He gave the list to his mother.
She bought everything on the list.

This is why I tried to please her.
She was generous when I barely knew her.
She gave everything her son asked for to him one Christmas.
We never gave her a list again.
We were afraid she would give us everything on the list.

I wish she gave us a list. --Charlotte Fairchild

If you are alone and you have no dog, companion of any kind, and your phone dies, then it is time to fix the phone.

Your phone is vital to back up.

My sister

My sister is not using the Buddy System and there is nothing I can do about it. I could give her a kubaton. I could give her some spray. She never read Murder on the Silver Comet Trail, so she doesn't know all the different things that might help her. The signs on trails do not mention the Buddy System. Freedom to be alone is a woman's thing since women have been under the control of men in society since the dawn of civilization. Women do not have the visual cues of the Buddy System that men have. Fire fighters, military, police, hunting, fishing, sky/scuba divers get articles in their literature every month. Two in two out, watch you back, I got your back, Buddy System are all in every journal and perhaps email. Prison guards do not use the Buddy System. Too many times a guard is alone with a large group of people who are criminal.

Meanwhile, my sister does not have the Buddy System. If only there were an app.

Masks become pockets

Lindavideos
This is the link! Make this mask to protect your ears and your life!

I make these with zig-zag as my only stitch. I make a "pillow slipcover" type textile. Most of the stitches are inside the mask. The pattern is an 8 inch by 10 inch picture frame matt someone gave to me. I use a titanium wheel for a Fiskars rotary cutter on a cutting board I bought for $10 at Corelle Outlet in St. Augustine, Florida last December before Christmas. I try to make 10 masks a day.

9/11/2001 Emory Parkway Medical Center, Lithia Springs, Georgia

Where were you on 9/11/2001? So many people have been born since then. I was at Emory Parkway Medical Center, Lithia Springs, GA for 3 shifts as their chaplain. My nephew gave me his medal. He was at Fort Polk, where the President was supposed to be in case of attack on our country. And then he went to Iraq for a year. I trusted 27 ordained men to support the hospital. I was verbally told the hospital was interested in hiring me as a chaplain. My CPE supervisors had told me in many ways I just wasn't good enough. I didn't get Advanced CPE. The crazy thing about that? The first unit I did as a chaplain was doctoral level education.
How was CPE going to surpass doctoral classes in tearing down people? They don't have "advanced" anymore. There are no "advanced" levels of CPE. There are men who have no training to be chaplains who were pastors with a retirement plan who get a job in institutions. They were no better, and had no training for what chaplains did. They still get opportunities without CPE and win over women. Jobs have 60 applicants for chaplains.  I also went through Clinical Pastoral Education before Anita Hill was a whistleblower for Clarence Thomas. So I went through sexual harassment with a doctor. I was told to write him a letter of apology for removing his hand in front of patients. Later he lost his license to practice medicine because of a lawsuit. The patient went on Larry King and talked about him.
I had 10 interviews at major hospitals, prisons, and for the Jacksonville Police Department. The men always got the job. A question was asked at the Police Department about how many people I had told someone had died. In hospitals only the doctor can do that. Showing up at the elevator or in the waiting room is enough for people to know someone died just by seeing a chaplain, and people knew I was a chaplain. Many times a chaplain doesn't have to speak.
So what did I do on 9/11/2001? I got the Gideon Bibles out and put them in waiting rooms (not the patient's rooms). No hospital official had allowed Gideons to place Bibles in rooms during the 4 years I had volunteered with full credentials. I let people look at my kaleidoscope, and take a minute to relax, especially people in the ER, ICU, and the three people in the building who had relatives in the World Trade Center. I had already talked to my friends in New York and at the Pentagon. Ray Woolridge had emailed me asking me to go to the hospital. Out of 27 volunteers, I was the only ordained woman with a degree. One woman was ordained with no degree. She was black and did not show up on 9/11. We had lunch later. I am friends with Ray Woolridge, US Army RET Brigadier General on LinkedIn. He was in Alabama on 9/11 with his soldiers. He was not yet working at the Pentagon as a General.
Five months after 9/11/2001 the hospital closed. Two years later the building was leveled and a Home Depot was built in the same spot. Charlie Brown Airfield is 5 seconds away from that spot. Home Depot is much safer than the 11 story glass hospital. On 9/11/2001, there was no sprinkler system in the building. I emailed Bob Sheiffer/Shieffer about this hospital. He wasn't interested in it as a story. No one did a story on it. Instead the story was that no one was using the hospital and it was old (27 years is old?). It was the only hospital on I-20 with an ER. They increased the beds of Douglasville's hospital to 23+ rooms in the ER, Villa Rica's hospital had 75 million pumped into making it bigger and "state of the art." Both hospitals are not close to the perimeter of Atlanta or to an airport. They are on I-20 for the accident victims and area.
What do I remember most about 9/11/2001? People who had treated me like a "female usurper" trying to take a man's spot in ministry started calling me Chaplain. I had been wearing the badge for nearly 4 years, and the women started calling me Chaplain for the first time.
Some of the 27 male pastors decided that they didn't want a woman chaplain when I called and told them I might be hired, and would they still be available to volunteer? They called the hospital and said they didn't want me as chaplain to the CEO. I went to the EEOC (where Anita Hill used to work) and made a complaint. They investigated and said I could go back and get references. The women did not want me to sue Emory Hospital for sexism. The CEO had been fired. I got a reference letter signed by one nurse and then I left the building. I remember the Birch tree outside the hospital entrance. It was huge. When the building was torn down, the tree was also removed. I think of it as The Giving Tree.
I joined a church where the head of security was in my Bible study group and he made fun of me. Hope Church in Hiram is a United Methodist Church that will not use women in the pastorate and keeps it secret that it is United Methodist. Nothing on the signs telling people it is Methodist. We only stayed there a year.
When I was ordained in 1987, only about 400 women had been ordained in the Southern Baptist Denomination. In 1999 when the Southern Baptist Denomination stopped allowing ordination and the Alliance of Baptists and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship became home for all the ordained women who didn't become Episcopal or something else, I had already started a non-profit ministry. I retired this April. I was a pioneer. I have no retirement, no 401K, no social security. I did not die on 9/11/2001. The first casualty at the World Trade Center was the Chaplain on this date.

Murder on the Silver Comet Trail

Inside the book MURDER ON THE SILVER COMET TRAIL, there is an FBI agent with rippling muscles who explains the Buddy System with safety awareness and self defense. There is no Buddy System if there is no safety awareness and self defense.

April Retirement

Fear Thou Not 501(c)3 closed shop in April. If anyone needs a wedding or a memorial service, I can officiate. I also preach if a preacher is needed in the 30141 zip code.

Two weeks after my retirement, I walked into Town Center Mall and met a couple who needed to get married. I offered to marry them, and they gave me a marriage license. I took it, filled it out and mailed it. They are legally married. They said their own vows. We had witnesses.

The last memorial service I gave was for someone who was 102 years old. The first memorial service was for someone 2 months old. I can help.

Buddy System in music?

The Buddy System is used in exercise, dieting, the 12 Step Program, and every male associated program on Earth except the hermit sports! Will more than 5 people read this blog? What if a few people shared it? Would anyone steal my ideas and write better books than I am planning to write?

I have come to the conclusion that I need to sell stuff. One way to raise funds, I am selling stuff at cheaper prices but not cheap enough. After Dad died 55 boxes and 22 large pictures came to my house. I am happy with thrift store cross stitch pictures. I don't need other art so much, but I know the value of the art and heck if I am going to give it away. At auctions that is what happens. No one ever brags they paid 3X as much as anyone else for something!

I have come up with a wonderful idea for a book. I did not do Nano this year because someone asked me if I was going to make an outline. The first paragraph of every book is an outline! I learned that in English Composition! I have a degree, but I let that stop me and I only wrote a few pages.

My idea for a new book is being inspired by a time travel series I am reading by Annette Laing, professor of history with a PhD.

My idea is instead of Jefferson Davis and the governors deciding to secede from the Union, they decide to release every slave that day, and hire them the next. Pay them a salary. Stop whipping and caning. Let them open their banks. Give them State's rights for voting in each Southern state.

What would be the outcome? No war. No orphans. No loss of land. No carpet baggers. No rape. No burning of homes. No KKK. No death.

People of color would be able to open their own businesses because they could save money. They could eat better, live better. There would be no meanness and Jim Crow attitudes and behaviors.

What would Lincoln's Presidency be like? He wouldn't argue as much and he may have had one term and lived until he was 90. His wife would not have gone off the deep end. They would have had more grandchildren. He would not be on a penny or a five dollar bill. Maybe there would not be  a Lincoln memorial. There would be no Gettysburg Address.

What would we have instead? More wealth, more life, more happiness, more education, more food, more health.

How would this have happened for the leaders in the South to change? Could it have happened with Frederick Douglas? What about a revival and preachers telling about Christian Charity towards all people with 2 hands and 2 legs. What if people had listened to the Holy Spirit who teaches love and generosity?  How many of those preachers would have been lynched? We think only black people are lynched, but that is not the case. It has happened to white people too. What evangelical can we pin this to? The Salvation Army and the Methodists? They became United after the Civil War.

So there you go, I am doing social engineering to explore how people make a choice for freedom every day in government and in personal dealings.

All I have to do is develop the plot, people, and write an outline.

Are you still in the pick business? I got a new autoharp. I went to a Russian Pentecostal church yesterday. The pastor knew I would be there and talked about me in the service. He thought I wanted to be a speaker because the man I met at Lowe's wanted me to be a speaker. I came 8 minutes late, there was no visitor parking near the door, and I had to park behind the church and walk around and go to the bathroom and so I sat in the back. I only go to churches once and I am done. The egos are too big. The sexism is too big. I have a mission.

I asked 800 people in Cyberpluckers to make a Christmas CD. I expected 10 songs. They delivered 100 songs on CD Baby in a couple of months. Then another set was made so there are almost 200 songs for $30. The money from these sales goes into a nonprofit called Autoharp Angel. Donated autoharps are sent to people who apply for an autoharp because they cannot afford one. I had a student who got one that way. I went to a concert with 10 little girls playing harp. They were 10 years old or close, and they played classical, hymns, and a Les Miz Medley. Their harps were between $20K and $100K in value. Their parents may have only paid $100 a month for lessons, or maybe $150 a month for lessons. I don't know.

I thought to myself, who can afford the $100 a month or a week? Who can afford a $20K harp? They can be rented, but still. So I asked myself why more people don't use the autoharp with a digital tuner. I asked people to look up Autoharp Angels on Google and Will Smith Autoharp on Youtube. I asked people in church to look at Rev. 14:2. In the Bible, there are no guitars. There are no pianos. There are only harps. Church people have been rejecting praises to God with a biblical instrument. Their knee jerk reaction is to say God only wants the harp in church instead of including the harp with all their favorites like the guitar and the bass and brass and a drum set. They want to reject the bibilical instrument by making an either/or problem.

If you don't write it down, it didn't happen and trauma

I just met a lawyer who said that because he tells his wife not to go on the Silver Comet Trail, the cues are there for women no matter how much more men have it in print than women.

If you don't write it down, it didn't happen. . . .

Look on Google for how many times women have "Buddy System" in writing and compare it to the hunters, military, police, sky diving, scuba diving and all that men do. Compare it statistically and as though you are an accountant.

Domestic Violence in church  What happens when you find there is traumatized people in your church? Is there a Buddy System in your church?
